NECA's objective is to provide cost-effective training programs that are relevant to the industry. As a result NECA provides training in a wide range of areas to ensure the skills and awareness levels within the industry are not only maintained, but also enhanced.
The availability of training in our industry is varied. If there is an area of training you would like included or sourced on your behalf, please contact NECA. The National Electrical and Communications Association "NECA" has welcomed Safe Work Australia's draft model Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation to achieve harmonisation of OHS laws in Australia, which incorporates the majority of NECA's previous recommendations to the National OHS Review Panel.

A Safety Guide for Employees in the Electrical, Communications and Data Industries
- The new revised NECA Red Book 2007 now has information on 95 critical safety topics for workers in our industry, twice the number of the previous edition.
- The book is still printed as a durable and handy pocketsize guide that can be conveniently carried in the glove box, toolbox or pocket.
- It has been revised to address current developments in OHS including details on the processes of Risk Assessment and Management and the effective use of Safe Work Method Statements.
